Wood Framed Projects
With the ongoing supply chain and long lead time issues working with wood for smaller buildings makes sense. We can get the materials in a timely fashion. Building on our past Old Forge Area Wood Framed & Vacation Home projects, our crews are well trained to complete a variety of wood commercial and select residential renovation projects. Our staff of experienced open shop superintendents and crews have completed may wood framed projects, such as pole buildings and other specialty use buildings.
One particular client that we have completed several custom wood framed projects for is the Black River Environmental Outdoor Education Program in Forestport and Boonville, NY. This non-profit organization, teaches outdoor sports, such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and kayaking to elementary and junior high students.

In 2004, we began working with long time clients Robert and Elenor Cohen, owners of the Meyda Tiffany factory distribution and showroom in Yorkville, NY, which we constructed in 1994, and in 2000 on a new home in Old Forge, NY. Through several redesigns and revisions, we reached a contract early in 2004 to construct this 6,000 square-foot home on the shore of Second Lake........
Project involved the construction of a large 2-story addition to the existing camp on the shores of White Lake in the Central Adirondacks. The addition consisted of a new master bedroom with cedar closets, a new master bathroom, large enclosed screened in porch, a large wrap around deck, and new energy efficient windows. Project started in the fall of 2007 and was completed in early May of 2008.
Designed by Tim Rees Architects, the project includes a 2,800 square-foot addition in the true Adirondack Design. Its features include cultured stone foundation, see through fireplace, cedar ceilings, covered porch with an outdoor cooking galley, game room with custom bar and wine cellar, and hardwood and slate floors through-out. Special features, such as, interior and exterior log and stick handrails abound through-out, imported tile showers, and custom ceramic kitchen backsplashes makes this one of most unique Custom Vacation Home projects.
Year-round 2,400 SF Adirondack home, wooded lake-front setting. Custom standing-seam roof, cement board siding, featuring wrap-around porch, laundry room, master bedroom with ensuite, adjoining workshop, great room with free-standing stone fireplace, a breakfast nook and library. The second floor features two bedrooms each with their own full baths, a large reading room with french doors leading to a screened sleeping porch.
This project was a historical renovation of an early 1900's cabin. The deteriorated seasonal cabin was relocated from a waterfront site to an elevated site and set on a new full basement by a local contractor.
The home is similar to the Craftsman style of the first home but is much larger with an attached heated 2 stall garage and a large bedroom above.
